About The EventJoin us as we welcome Liam Staltari MLA, Member for Carine in the Western Australian Parliament, as our guest speaker. Liam currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Education, Early Childhood and Disability Services, as well as the Opposition Whip. During the morning, Liam will share his experience representing our local community and provide firsthand insight into his work in State Parliament. He will discuss the key issues he is championing across his portfolios, including the current challenges and opportunities facing Western Australian families, schools, and individuals living with disability. Liam will also highlight the everyday matters local residents bring to his electorate office and how he collaborates with community organisations to deliver meaningful outcomes for the area. Following his presentation, there will be time for an audience Q&A, offering attendees the chance to raise local questions and discuss what matters most to our neighbourhood. Liza credits her time with the Rotary Youth Exchange program as a foundational experience that helped shape her journey, build her confidence, and guide her towards her passion for healthcare and rehabilitation. During her presentation, Liza will share reflections on how her exchange experience influenced her personal and professional growth. Members are welcome to join us on Saturday, 14th November for our annual club gathering at Paul Conti Wines in Woodvale. This long-standing tradition celebrates over 50 years of friendship between the Conti family and the Rotary Club of Scarborough, offering a fantastic afternoon to relax, catch up, and enjoy great company in a historic local setting. The event runs from 12:00 PM to approximately 3:00 PM. This is a private, club-focused event for members, partners, family, and friends. Wine will be generously provided on the day, but attendees are asked to BYO their own BBQ meats, salads, rolls, and soft drinks.
While this is a free gathering, registration via our ticketing link is strictly required so we can manage numbers for the venue's 40 to 50-person capacity. Please contact Jerry Pilcher directly to book attendance. |

Once again, the Rotary Club of Scarborough is proudly awarding seven scholarships of $1,000 to outstanding current North Metropolitan TAFE students. These scholarships are designed to back determined students who are achieving strong outcomes in their studies, whether academic or through their positive contributions to learning and team dynamics, despite facing personal or financial hurdles. During the morning, we will welcome the seven successful student recipients alongside their lecturers, campus directors, and family members to formally present their awards. It is a wonderful celebration of vocational education, hard work, and local talent.
