Bowra & Odea

Bernardine completed her tertiary studies in 1980 with a Bachelor of Social Work. In 1996 she joined Bowra & O’Dea Funeral Directors In Western Australia and has over 23 years experience in Funeral arranging, Funeral conducting and Branch management. In 1999 she was nominated as an AFDA Western Australian State Councillor and in 2003 became the AFDA WA State President. In 2006 Bernardine became a member of the AFDA National Council serving on various committees, and was elected the first woman AFDA National President for the term 2011 – 2013.  Bernardine remains a national councillor today, and is the current AFDA National Treasurer. Bernardine’s current role is Development and Training Manager for Bowra & O’Dea.

Bernardine is married, has four adult children and an expanding family of grandchildren
