Jerry Pilcher : Reminded us of the need to find hosts for the touring team from Hong Kong. So far 16 hosts have been identified but we need another 9 more.
Donald Brooks : Drew members attention to the articles in Saturdays West Australian regarding Qantas's Dreamliner direct flights to London and in particular the back page where our member, Isabelle Chu has a full page story.
Dave Taylor : Thanked Guy Lehman for making his office available for the Demo on the clubs website. All together 12 members attended with 7 going across to Al Fornettos aftewards. Dave said that he would organise another in a months time for those that could not attend.
Dave also reported that Premier had opened the revitalised Scarborough Beach front and the ClockTower clock was now telling the correct time & the flag was now flying.
In Addition, Dave said that will be passing a board around at next weeks meeting so that club members can report on many many trees they had planted this year!
Joe Angi: Again asked members to consider ordering more club tee shirts. This year you can chose your colour and your size for a top quality product for $30.
SwapMart: Major General Richards reported a good day with 253 bays sold with takings of $4050.
RYE Flynn : Flyn gave a review of his week including School Ball including the aftermath, sore throats, wearing a suit & having to have flowers for his ball partner! Some mention of child labour while staying at the Collins residence plus school & school & more school.
Secretary Joy : quoted one of Churchill's famous quotes

Acting Sgt Brian Richards : Then gave a mammoth performance of extracting monies from members with innuendoes and quarter truths!
Guest Speaker:
Neil Darch then introduced Dr Peter Harries. Peter is 83 years of age & been married for 59 years, is a life long entertainer, writer, awarded the OAM in 1968 and gained a PhD in Social Science from Curtin University.
Peter commenced his talk by singing "The Mighty Flynn". and then "Oh What a Beautiful Morning". Peter left school in Pinjarra at the age of 15 and joined the railways as a junior clerk. From there he joined the bank before entering entertainment. In 1968 he performed before an audience of 11,000 people at Perth Carols by Candlelight.
In 1963 he came from Kings Cross and started on TV. Loves Chinese food and finally landed up on Kids TV programs.
Peter spoke about his health issues , the Heart Foundation, Triple by-passes, & inhaling second hand smoke. Peter enforced the need to exercise, eat correctly and be a non-smoker.
Peter concluded his presentation with singing "Click go the Shearers". (Scribe heard Don B suggesting we bring back singing)
Neil Darch gave a suitable vote of thanks where upon Peter again broke out in song.
Chase the Ace: The winner of the bottle of wine was Neil Grant but failed to draw the ace......Jack pot now worth $612 +++.
Pres Mike then thanked all members for attending and closed the meeting with the national anthem. ( Pity we didn't all have voices like Peter Harries)
